'Classic Ponzi scheme': Angry creditors lambast CEO of Kansas asset-swap business in court records - Kansas Reflector

Brad Heppner was CEO of GWG Holding is being sued by the state of Kansas.
Brad is now facing federal lawsuit with his new company Beneficient.
If you hold a GWG L Bond you need to read this.
Michael has told his clients to wait because Beneficient will help bail out GWG, after reading and research I don't see how that will happen.

Verbal statements are meaningless

I am afraid you are correct. There is no help coming. File a complaint with the SEC and file for Arbitration with FINRA. Of course, filing the FINRA complaint will give you some chance of recovery from Michael L Whitaker and Associates or Michael L Whitaker himself.

Yes, it is but I found this news article and I really thought GWG Bond Holders should know about GWG and Ben CEO is up to. Brad Heppner moved $360 million Bond Holder funds to Ben and he is under federal investigation and SEC / FINRA investigation I find that very important facts that bond holders should know.

Yes it may be that everything has been told but we need to keep the thread alive to prevent Michael L. Whitaker and Associates from doing more damage.

If anyone is experiencing problems with Michael L Whitaker and Associates please post your concerns and how you are handling them. It is helpful to everyone who was wronged by this company to know what others are doing and provide help when we can. My position is to file a complaint with the SEC and file for arbitration with FINRA.

Please keep this thread going. Every day Michael L Whitaker and Associates bring in new clients (victims) to be ripped off. Protect our seniors who have worked hard to be able to retire here. They deserve better than Michael L Whitaker and Associates.

GWG Bankruptcy Update (April 17, 2023): Liquidation Options Become Clearer as Recovery for Bondholders Remain Uncertain — Securities Arbitration Lawyer Blog — April 17, 2023

This weeks court update on GWG L Bonds

MDFlyer 04-24-2023 09:44 AM

The following is just an excerpt from the above. Written by a law firm with an interest in representing FINRA complaint clients so you can take it for what it is worth.

Iorio Altamirano LLP (gwglawyer.com), a law firm that represents retail investors, is representing many GWG L Bond investors against brokerage firms across the country to recover investment losses and damages sustained by those firms’ recommendations to invest in GWG L Bonds. Based on the law firm’s investigation, there appears to have been widespread negligence and misconduct by many brokers and broker-dealers across the country.

Michael L Whitaker and Associates should never be allowed to handle anyone's money. He has multiple investigations in progress by the SEC and several fillings for arbitration settlements in progress by FINRA. In my opinion, does not act as a fiduciary for his clients, and does not manage the client's funds in the manner that he is instructed. By this I mean, if you say no or low-risk investments, he will put you in high risk.

You are welcome to express your opinion Jesse, but you are spreading false and misleading information here and on Talk of The Villages. Life is too short for you to keep going on like this so maliciously.

If I am wrong maybe you can explain the SEC and FINRA complaints.
