Waffle House coming to Lady Lake
 

Permits have been pulled for a Waffle House to be built in front of BJ's on 441 - between BJ's parking lot, Lowe's parking lot and United Southern Bank.

Just in case any don't know the nickname and would like to - it's known as The Awful Waffle in Georgia (headquarters is there).

Hey, some people like it while others avoid it entirely. C'est la vie...

Have had some bad servers (it may have been in Georgia) but I have never had a bad meal.

Yeah, it's okay. I'd never crave the place but, if I'm out-and-about and really hungry, I may pop-in for some eggs or a sandwich.

It's advisable not to watch them cook the food, if you're particular. ;o) But, it's definitely a great place to watch "the human parade".

I know two things about Waffle House:

1. They use a lot of butter and cheap ingredients, and;
2. Nearly every news broadcast about murder or shooting starts with, "Late last night at Waffle House..." Or, for variety's sake, they sometime headline, "Waffle House scene of shooting."

1) Yes, that's why I recommended not to watch them make the food. Pouring some cheap oil on the griddle before throwing your eggs on. Plus cheap bread and cheese, etc.

2) This one may mostly just be the Law of Averages. They have almost 2000 locations across 25 states and are open 24/7/365. All sorts of stuff is going to happen with that kind of availability.

Great, just what we need. If the food doesn't kill you, the customers will.

Still looking for an IN-N-OUT.
Could be a long wait. Still none east of Houston yet.

I have never been to a waffle house. But I am looking forward to trying them. I do hear the best time is about 2 AM. That way you get a show with the meal

Great news I been longer for some smothered and scattered potatoes and greasy eggs ,can't wait.

Food average. People who visit their locations are questionable. Never felt comfortable there with my family
