:coolsmiley: Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

I don't mean to derail this thread....but is there a bird watching group in TV?

Per Sam:

There are 2 birders clubs. There are the Brownwood Birders and the Village Birders. By the way, Sam will be giving a video presentation of his photos at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Lake Okahumpka rec center in the Village of St. Johns.

Their eagle and osprey nest on power line towers in district 4 with MMP running under and near. Osprey nest over the fire district sheriff sub stations right off CR 42 and B/V blvd.

If you go to Leo Villas (off Incorvaia Way in the Village of Pine Ridge, close to the eastern end of The Villages on 466A) and look up into the pine trees behind the houses, you can see a Bald Eagle nest with "Leo" and "Cleo" guarding two chicks. The proud parents are generally there for a while after sunrise and back before sunset and one or the other of them are there off and on throughout the day.

Alternately, if you go to the postal center on SE 172nd/Legacy Lane (if you're going north on Buena Vista, Legacy Lane is just before you get to Nancy Lopez country club) and walk south on the multi-modal path, there's a nest on the second power line tower. Since the bulk of the nest is hidden by the tower arm, this is referred to by the birders as the "skinny nest".

There used to be an eagle nest across the retention pond at the cul-de-sac at the end of Piney Woods Path in the Village of Dunedin, south of Hillsborough Trail (one of the larger streets that connects Morse and Buena Vista south of 466A). I'm not sure if that is active this year.
