What's your must have side dish

With Thanksgvng just a few days away, aside from the stuffing, what is your must have side dish to go with your turkey?? I must say I'm sticking with the green bean casserole!

Every year I have to make raw cranberry relish for my husband, because his family did. It's one apple, one orange, one bag of cranberries, and sugar, all run through a grinder, skin, pith, and all. Yuck. It lasts forever because he's the only one who eats it. We usually find the Tupperware container in the back of the refrigerator around April.

My sophisticated taste requires a can of Ocean Spray. Chilled. Has to have the little ridges in the side.

Cranberry sauce and stuffing with lots of gravy!

Mom's cucumber salad, jellied cranberry sauce and my lazy version of candied yams topped with marshmallows on one half and pecans on the other. My daughter would never forgive me if I didn't have those three things. Think she'd be okay with just those items on the table and skip the rest if necessary.

Instead of the green bean casserole we have cauliflower with buttered crackers. It is my husband's grandmother's recipe.

Steam the cauliflower until fork tender set aside. In a big skillet melt 1 stick of real butter (not margarine or light butter) cook until it stops sizzling. Don't burn it. Pour in about 2 cups of crushed ritz or townhouse cracker crumbs. Stir until lightly browned. Careful it is easy to burn this. Display cooked cauliflower on a dish and pour crumbs over the top. This stuff is to die for. If you need a little more butter or crumbs, feel free to adjust the amount. The crumbs should be all soaked in butter and brown and crispy not soggy or dry. Enjoy!
