Colder Than Average

The Farmer's Almanac is forecasting a colder and snowier winter than average for the 23/24 winter season. This is no surprise as we are in a 9-year cooling trend, which is within a 6,000 year Milankovitch cooling trend, which is within our current 2.5 million year old Pleistocene Ice Age. The Pleistocene Ice Age is the subject of a talk on Sep 29 at 4 PM at Colony Cottage - for the Philosophy Club. Dress warm.

Well, that surely puts The Global Warming issue to bed. No longer need to feed your cow "Beano" extra strength.

Case Closed! That's That!

There is reportedly a 90% chance of an El Nino cycle forming in the coming weeks, which would for the next 9-12 months make it cooler than normal in most of the South (and wetter), but also warmer in the North and drier.

I guess we'll see If the Almanac was right, or scientists this year. I've found in many years past, they usually followed a similar prediction.

Oh, you mean Climate Change. Yeah, I don’t see the connection.

Time will tell

After this summer I hope it does get cooler. But what’s one year in a 2.5 million year old Pleistocene Ice Age.

Squirrels are very busy gathering food to store. Going to be a cold winter.

MrFlorida 09-28-2023 09:18 AM

If they can't predict today's weather, how can they predict weather a year in advance ?
