Planting cost

Does anyone ever spend just $1500 on landscaping a small area? I don't need the curbing done-just need new soil and some nice greenery planted. I just need suggestions on what to plant and then have it done. I can't seem to do it myself.

There are some really beautiful new homes with beautiful landscaping, including rocks, etc., that I am sure must cost $$$$, but this is an older home with just a small area to plant.

I bet if you posted a picture of the area needing landscaped, a few of the landscapers on this forum would give you a few suggestions.

Even a very small area can get pricy quick, pending largely on your selection of materials used. I do believe with your budget you can achieve an eye appealing landscape within the budget. Good Luck!

You've been a member for a while... there have been many posts giving names and numbers for landscapers recommended by TOTV members. Most landscapers will offer a free "no obligation" estimate and provide excellent ideas. Planting isn't usually done in the months when a freeze is possible. And you may get a better price by waiting until the "birds" leave.

Yes it can be done; however, the problem is finding someone willing to take on a job that small. I had new beds created in the rear of my home including curbing and moving of a few plants along with underground lines for the downspouts and mulch. It was around $1800. There is a young man name Luke Claeborn (sp?) that advertises in the paper that might be willing to do something. He says no job too small. Sorry I don't have his number. By the way - if you already have established beds and don't need anything but soil enrichment you should be able to accomplish this for a lot less $$$.
