Where there's smoke there's fire
We were at Spanish Springs yesterday around 5:30 and saw a large billow of smoke coming from the east. Does anyone know what was burning?

http://www.*******************/villa...hes-side-home/ A 96-year-old Villager said she’s lucky to be alive after her golf cart exploded and caught her house on fire. Julia Tiedemann was returning from a trip to the postal station at about 5 p.m. Sunday when she pulled into her carport at her home on Aloha Way on the Historic Side of The Villages. “All of a sudden things started exploding,” she said. “I ran like hell.” Flames scorched the side of her home. All that remains of her golf cart is a burned-out carcass. She is grateful to The Villages Public Safety Department for their prompt response. “They were here before I knew it,” she said. Yellow tape now marks off the area where the explosion took place. Julia’s car also got caught up in the fire and may be a total loss as well. “I am lucky to still be here,” she said. |

However the online newspaper doesn't replace TOTV in any way. This website is the very best for chatty discussions about breaking news. |
So that's what I observed walking out of Lowes.

Wow! That was quite a fire.

As the article states, the 96-year-old woman is lucky to be alive. Her house was burned, along with her car which may be a total loss, and of course the golf cart was destroyed. She was returning from the mail box, something she has probably done everyday for decades. What would make an electric cart explode?
