Any good local papers besides the Sun?
 

Would like to subscribe to a local paper too keep up on local happinings while not in the Villiages. Any suggestions other than the Sun?

I don't know how "good" you would think this paper is, but it is a source of articles for the local area. This paper also printed stories about the cat burglar (who hit TV and other places) long before The Villages Daily Sun. To me, this makes it a "good" paper.

The Star Banner is good. I take it and The Daily Sun. And you get the Reporter free inside the paper on Thursday. The Daily Commercial is terrible.

I had the Star Banner for a while. On the weekend it has a restaurant section to tell you about the problems - in the Ocala area and in the Villages. It covers the 'bad things" that happen in the Villages that the Daily Sun will not print. Since I get the Orlando Sentinel and the Daily Sun, I dropped the Star Banner but still buy an occasional Sunday copy to check things out.
