Private Tax Preparer Recommendation
 

We have lost our wonderful tax preparer to illness, and need to find another. We do not wish to go to H and R block, but would like to find an individual, preferably a villager, who is retired and does this on the side. Would appreciate any thoughts/recommendations. We cannot use the "free service" through the Villages, as we own rental property and our combined incomes will exceed the limit for free prep. Thanks.

we were quite surprised a few years back that most "tax Preparers" here in FL also want your financial planning business. Be careful because they will come into your home on the premise of doing your taxes only to try and sell you an annuity..Just ask before you have them come over……Also found out the following year that some of the local CPA's charge exorbitant fees to do your taxes…Something we paid 175.00 for in VA became 465.00 here…Buyer beware...
