Need Some Cruise Help

I am not an experienced cruiser but would like to surprise my wife with a cruise out of Port Canaveral in June. No more than 7 days . Any ideas?

1. Preference of Cruise Line
2. Preference of Ship

Needs to have smoke free casinos (if those do exist)

Post or email me at charles2226@comcast.net

What a nice guy to surprise your wife with such a great trip. We love cruising & would be happy to give our opinion. first off, I don't think there is a cruise that has smoke free casino.. none that I know of anyway. We have been on cruises where they desiginate a night or two as smoke free nites but not all cruises do that and there are non-smoking areas within the casinos. Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas / Carnival Miracle / we also heard that Norwegian has a ship at Port C altho we are not familiar with it. I'm sending you a pm with additional info.

The cruise lines have different personalities. Might say what you want to do on and off the ship.
Look at Holland America. Good for service.
Try Cruise Critic Message Board Forums and do some searching.

7 - Night Eastern Caribbean - Port Canaveral Round-Trip, Freedom of the Seas,Ports of Call: Port Canaveral, Florida; CocoCay, Bahamas; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, USVI; Philipsburg, Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles; Port Canaveral, Florida, about $2800 for the two of you with a balcony on Royal Caribbean. If your wife can't go I'll go with you :-) Have Fun!!

Seven days? Big mistakey... I'd do a 3 day with a promise of a longer one IF she likes it. Seven days on a ship can be too much for some people. If you do, Eastern Caribbean, St Thomas is nice.

Royal Caribbean unless you two REALLY like Disney or kids.

Celebrity's casinos are smoke free. What a thoughtful gift! Enjoy.

:agree:

I much prefer Eastern Caribbean over Western and Freedom of the Seas is a nice ship.

We were just on the Celebrity Silhouette with smoke free casino and very few smoking places on the ship. That feature was fabulous.

I'm generally in agreement with kaydee, rjm1c, hollander and domb9006!
The big thing is to choose a cruise that features a life-style that fits yours!
If you are active and energetic, consider those lines which offer active and energetic activities. If you are neither of those things, consider only those lines offering quiet, non-energetic activities!

With these guidelines in line, you shouldn't ever go wrong!
