I'm not surprised. I seen a woman today trying to parallel park in the square while yapping on the cell phone. I couldn't stick around to see how long it took her or if she damaged anything parking.

another sad texting, Florida story
A couple of years ago, a friend of ours son ( he lived near Tampa) was texting, after staying up all night with the birth of his first baby. Well, he was texting his brother and hit a semi and died. So dangerous and soo needless.
He left a young wife and new baby the night she was born!!!! Also his brother felt guilty about it too (Of course, false guilt, but still!!!!). I only share so that everyone, young and old, can see the dangers of texting and driving. We did use this tragedy as an object lesson for our kids (they also knew the husband and wife and brother and family). |
Several years ago, I got into an acident, while using a cell phone. Minor damage, but a pita. Way too dangerous as I will not make or answer any calls while driving. It's not that important. If it is, I can always pull over and return the call. Lesson learned the hard way.
NEVER AGAIN!!! |
Fairly easy to get evidence about distracted driving with cellphones/smartphones... records!
If someone gets hurt or killed in an automobile accident... that will probably be one of items listed in a subpoena. |
Real tough law in Florida:
Florida's texting law is secondary in nature, meaning that a driver has to be pulled over for something else before being cited for the violation. Plus a $30 fine..................... |
