"Butler's pantry" in nook of Gardenia, Begonia, Sunflower?
 

We close on Feb 12 on our Sunflower! It has been very exciting and lots of fun to design and build this house. We have changed a few things from the basic plan, stretching all that we could. So overall we are thrilled with our floor plan.

The one thing that I did not like about this floor plan is the NOOK! It is still there and we still wish it wasn't. Haha!

In searching the threads I have seen several great home offices built into that area. We really like that idea.

The other idea we have is to make a closet in the foyer where the nook entrance is and to then close in the nook with a wall across the back of the kitchen, with a door in the center. This would give us a walk in Pantry or "Butler's Pantry" (for lack of a better term). It would give us storage under AC for the odd shaped things and over flow.

I am having a wall oven so there is no pantry in the Kitchen, it gets moved to the Laundry room.

Have any of you done this type of walk in Pantry in the nook area? I would love to hear from you and if you have photos...all the better.

Do you mean what I call the breakfast nook? The area in the kitchen where a table and chairs is usually placed?

Yes, Gracie. the front of the kitchen(toward the street) is an open area where the models had a small "breakfast" table. On the floor plan it is called a "nook".

We have a Lanai with a great view, a dining room, and a bar which we will use rather than the "nook".

It sounds beautiful. Hope you will post pictures when it is done.

Wish I could figure out how to post pictures. I have posted once or twice, but on those occasions I tried and tried and finally did "something" right. I have no idea what!!!
