GUARDIAN AD LITEM

Being a GAL can be one of the most rewarding things you'll ever do. I was a GAL in California and helped get a child away from an abusive parent; helped another be returned to her parents; helped with scholarship applications (he got a full one to Stanford!); many good things, little bad results. So, if you have a desire to volunteer, not sure what to do, this might just be the thing for you. You really do get to help kids, especially those in foster care. You're THEIR advocate.
