Which hip did you receive metal to metal metal to plastic or ceramic. Looking at having it done wondered what others have had done. Thanks

Wife had ceramic hip in 2005 and has had now issues since.

My wife just had hers replaced last September and has no idea. Dr Gray did it and the brand is Biomet.

My husband has 2 hips. His right one is unknown and his left has been reconditioned for a 2nd time. He had metal to metal but now has metal on nylon. His last metal to metal lasted 5 years but he's active and recovers from his surgeries quickly. I think there's been some lawsuits with the metal on metal so I would avoid that.
