$9.84 Credit Card Charge ... WARNING
 

On my local news at 11 pm tonight (WRGB in Albany, NY), they advised that we check our credit card statements for a charge of $9.84 for "customer support". IF we have that on our bill, it means that our card has been "compromised" and we should call our bank and cancel that card and ask that a new card be issued.

I wanted to include a link to the story, but the story didn't make it onto the channel's website.

I don't know if this is/was a problem just local in my home area, as that wasn't addressed in the newscast. Just sharing the info in case it's also a problem in your area.
