Rooms to Go: WARNING

What a nightmare this company is. They make it almost impossible to cancel any order placed. Total incompetent staff who will do nothing to help you out. Customer service ignores your request. You may need to hire an attorney as we are at that point. Need more information PM me. Strongly recommend you do not shop there. :boxing2:

It would do everyone a much greater service if you had posted specific information instead of just tiny bits.

If the contract you signed said something about cancellations - it stands up since you agreed to it when you signed the contract.

Instead of dire warnings, give us some actual facts on what transpired.

The contract says you CAN cancel your order if it has not been placed on the truck for delivery. Since delivery date was 30 days out there should be no problem canceling. They make it VERY difficult to do so. I even contacted the store manager. Still they have not contacted me nor have they canceled my order.

Hopefully - you used a credit card. If so immediately put the charge in dispute for reasons you stated. That will get their attention. Sorry you are having these issues. I had purchased from Rooms to Go and was always pleased.

Same Here. Hard to accept when it seems that the actual details are missing. Sounds fishy to me.

Here's their policy. Like gomoho said, if you used a credit card, notify them that you are disputing the charge.

Rooms To Go

According to the Rooms To Go page that was linked, it does not sound confusing.

You signed a contract that stated you had 48 hours to change your mind about a purchase and get a full refund. If you waited more than 48 hours and changed your mind, you would get an 80% refund. If you waited until 3 days before the scheduled delivery date, you would not get a refund. This was a contract you signed - and agreed to.

I understand the 20% in store credit. That is not a problem. The problem is that I am having unbelievable problem just canceling the order! After several phone calls to the store I finely sent a registered letter to them to cancel the order. This is not way to run a business. I would never recommend Rooms to Go to anyone based on my experience with the company.

The next time you are in the store ask to see the paper where the return policy is printed on. Unless you have x-ray vision you will not be able to read it. I had to go to there web site to find out the details. Still can't get the order cancelled.

I'm sorry this happened to you and hopefully you used your credit card. Like other posted suggested you can dispute those charges. Good luck.

TNLAKEPANDA 01-29-2014 07:33 PM

Finely after several phone calls and a letter they have confirmed that the order has been canceled. What a hassle... there was no need for it! I have been in a service related business all my life and this is not way to provide customer service.
