Separation of Scotland, England

After years of talk, the separation of Scotland from the UK is coming to a vote. What do you think?
Many Scots are in favor of it. They believe a government of 5 million people will be more accountable than a government of 55 million.
Will the Queen have to give up her shooting box? Will she need a passport?

In a YouGov poll published earler this week it is yes (to independance) 34%, and no 52%. If you take out the "Won't Votes" and the "Dont knows" it's yes 39% and no 61%.

I know that people from England view themselves as not being European but English and that includes Scotland, Wales. It would be difficult for most Americans to discern the affect of such a separation. However there have been a number of states that desired to secede from the union in recent years and of course we had the north south secession issue but these events did not international implication.

They should be careful - a lot of the remaining North Sea oil is offshore from Shetland, and if Shetland decides to become independent from Scotland...

We have good friends living in Scotland consisting of mom, dad, and 2 adult children. When we asked them is they wanted independence they all said "no".
When we visited them we saw what a beautiful country it is with a long rich history. We hope to host them soon on Long Island.

I thin that they have a right to vote and decide. The way England is headed it may be a good thing.

Have you seen the wall? I drove along the full length of it last year, from west to east. I never saw it once!! at the moment it is very small, some one has 'taken' the stones :) ;)

Hadrian's Wall is a truly special place... - Hadrians Wall

Really doubt if this will happen judging from how much the people in the UK seem to love traditions like their royals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottis...ferendum,_2014

If the Scots and the Welsh want to leave the UK let Them Go. Just get England out of the EU.
