Snakes in Florida? No problem.
Worried about snakes in Florida? No problem. Just find a way to get a bunny to make your back yard its home. Here's an amazing video of a mommy cotton tail protecting her hutch of bunnies from a snake.
I once saw a mommy bunny do something very similar....protecting her hutch from a red tailed hawk. Awesome to watch the litte critter fend off an aerial attack....bunnies can jump pretty high.......the hawk lost the battle and sought lunch elsewhere. Enjoy the vid. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...64220525571346 |

Another I've learned from TOTV .. snakes can climb trees.

Re: Snakes in Florida? No problem.
That does it. I'm getting a security fence of WATCH BUNNIES to keep HANDIE OUT. And yes Barefoot snakes do climb trees. Many times while fishing I've heard a rustling noise and a splash. That's the snake falling into the water from a limb that he just happened to be resting upon. Of course that only happens when I have to retrieve a lure that has landed in a tree instead of the water. And that hardly ever happens. Keep in mind that fisherman have a tendency to fib a little. ;)

Snakes are fine. They rid the area of pesky rodents and other such critters. The problem is they eventually grow up and become politicians....
