History of The Villages

I played golf with 2 guys from Dearborn Michigan a couple of weeks ago. They told me that they have a book which is the history of The Villages. As I remember the author was from Dearborn Michigan. I found this article about a guy from Dearborn Michigan and perhaps this article is about the author. This article is about a Dan Schmidt and is from the same town.

I went to the book store at Sumter Landing and they didn't know anything about this book.

Does anyone know of the book and where to purchase it?

Go to thevillages.com Then hit on golf. Then hit on Orange Blossom Hills. Under related stories is A Blossoming Original.

...or copy the link and paste it into the web address line at the top and add an "m" at the end so the suffic reads ".htm"

Good to know. Do any local libraries have it?

In my opinion the book is poorly done BUT does have interesting information.

What's the name of the book? Local histories are often not that well done.
