Benefit Concert

friday night, feb 21 at 7pm there is a benefit concert with Jill Marrese and John Rogerson, both well known from local musical productions. the concert is called Let's Duet, Let's Fall in Love. it will be presented at the North Lake Presbyterian Church behind Home Depot and tickets are $10 at the door. all proceeds will go to Children of the Ocala Forest, a very worthy cause...there are hundreds of poor families living in the forest in terrible conditions. so plan to support this benefit if you can, and enjoy a great show!

UPDATE! i called the church to see if there would be enough tickets to buy at the door and they suggested that it might be safer to stop by the church earlier in the week to buy tickets...if any are left over they will be sold at the door....so i will leave that up to you!!

Earlier this week there was a thread discussing Couponing. The Children of the Ocala Forest would benefit enormously from someone who is knowledgeable about couponing.

Garden Club North has no dues, but to attend a meeting you are requested to bring paper goods for The Children of the Forest.

In a country as wealthy as ours, to even think that children are having to live homeless in a forest, horrifies me! Where is our conscience?
