Goofy but true

I recently reactivated my Sirius Radio account. The agent gave me the cost, I agreed but was then told of a $2.00 envoice fee. I asked what is a invoice fee, she replied it was for the envoice. I then asked, are you telling me that you are going to charge me $2.00 for sending me a bill. She replied yes. As I said, goofy but true !!!! :what:barfNever before in my long life have I ever had to pay anyone for sending me a bill.

Warren - we loved Sirius when we routinely drove from Georgia to Maryland to visit daughters and grand kids. But we dumped them this year as I don't need to pay $200 per year for music - get it free every night at the squares!

If you call Sirius/xm radio the week before your contract is up and tell them you will not be renewing you can get them to reduce the cost to $79 or $89 for the year. I have done it for four years in a row now.

If you let it expire they call and give it to you for $24.95 for 6 months. One time they called and offered 6 months for $24.95 or a year for $99.95. They specialize in goofy

more and more of these "high tech" companies only want to deal online. I think charging you for your invoice and to pay your bill is their way to force you to do your paying online.

Correct. I questioned the invoice fee, too. They said if you put it on a credit card, no fee.

They almost lost my sale for a stupid 2 dollars. Ultimately i paid 4.99 a month. That's for6 months.

They made a few mistakes with their business model when they started up, like paying Howard Stern a fortune. However, Howard didn't pull in enough listeners to justify his salary. They depend on advertising dollars and advertisers pay them according to how many subscribers they have. So, they would rather have you subscribe for very little than to lose you completely. It doesn't cost them anything to activate your radio and having you as a subscriber means more revenue for them.
