Isn't it time to retire some of those old "Sticky" messages?

You're up to seven, and the oldest go back almost six months. Maybe there should be a separate subject area for your sticky messages?

I agree, stickys should be limited to a couple of weeks or so. It's nice to inform users about new things or new advertisers but soon they aren't new anymore and should be moved to another place.

We have over 200 new members each month and about 5,000 page views a day by new guests. The information is new to them. I'm confused as to why the stickys are a problem? Perhaps they could be freshened more often, however, when new ones appear, there is a red flag next them to inicate that they are new. There is no need to read the old ones again if you have already read and remember them.

For the sake of this discussion, why not create a new category for New TOTV Visitors? Most of the Sticky messages don't have any special instructions for newbies but mention the addition of a new advertiser to TOTV. At some point, if you don't retire the older messages, the opening screen will be just full of Sticky's. Just an observation! I think all of the admins have done an outstanding job with TOTV. George

I am a new member to this forum. I had been reading this forum for a couple of months before I joined. You usually read the "Sticky" messages first, then never again, unless it's new. Please remove all the old ones. I am moving down to the TV at the first of the New Year.

What's the difference between the old Stickies and the old regular threads?
