Simple Pleasures
 

We moved here 4 years ago, and some time in that first year, I planted the top of a pineapple (bought at the Market of Marion) in a planter. I placed it out of sight behind some shrubs, where I promptly forgot about it for a year and a half. In November 2013 I dug up some of the shrubs, discovered the planter with healthy pineapple, and moved it to the birdcage where it has since been well nutured. I do believe the plant is about to produce fruit!! Such simple pleasures I have :)

How long does it take to grow

Well, I've heard that a NUTURED plant will produce in a couple of years.....

It takes two years. At least, that's what they told us at the pineapple farm in Hawaii.
