Recommendation for Orthopedic/Knee Specialist
 

Does anyone have any recommendations for orthopedic doctors in or around The Villages? Preferably one with specialty in knees and sports medicine. Not ready for knee replacement surgery just yet, but, would like to find an Orthopedic Dr with an efficient practice, not a terribly long wait time to get an appt, who tries all other passive and active treatments before deciding it's time to cut.

Also, if you have any you suggest to stay away from, that information will also be greatly appreciated.

Dr. Duke in OCala. He's teriffic. A neighbor had both knees replaced at the same time by Dr. Duke in August of 2005. He was back to playing softbal in December.

dr. kerrina at tri county orthopedics in the villages gets my vote. he works closely with a local rehab group and believes in education and non surgical treatments before thinking about surgery.
downside might be a long wait for new patients but if you can travel he has another office in leesburg. he used to give educational seminsrs in the villages but i haven't come across any lately.
