irrigation system
 

I have a Patio Villa and my irrigation system needs to be rewired. The box is in the garage and I was told I need 100 ft of wire to my buried box on the other side of the house. Why can't I just move the box to the other side of the house and wire it from there?

I believe the box is where the zones are piped to and each zone has a solenoid. Moving the box would involve a lot of digging up and repiping if I'm correct. I would assume the rewiring is due to a cutting of existing wires or corrosion of wiring insulation?

The box i'm talking about is the small one that controls the irrigation times etc. I would like to move that out of the garage and to the other side of the house where the box with the solenoid are.
