My Visit to TV Pre-Singles "Unclub"!
 

Hi All TOTV Singles - I'm Maggie in the DC Metro area, watching from my kitchen window as the snow continues to fall. I really wish I was enjoying myself in TV and not getting ready for round two of shoveling the driveway. Hopefully, it won't be long until I can join you and toss my snow shovel in the trash and break out my dancing shoes!

I had hoped to sell my house last summer but that wasn't in the cards for me. A couple of contracts fell through and then our family's 6 yr old golden retriever died very quickly from cancer. I was very close to a breakdown, so I took the house off the market and plan to re-list it in the next few weeks.

I've been studying communities where older singles have an active population. When I discovered The Villages, I thought I died and went to heaven. It is so wonderful, that you have come together and formed a community, that is not only enjoying each other but also welcoming new folks. I look forward to becoming part of your community in the future.

Chachacha and Manabouttown, thanks for your notes. I thought I might have offended someone with my post. Glad to know it was just lost among all the other interesting topics on the TOTV.

Like you, Cashmire, I am looking for a 55 and over community that is singles friendly. Having now twice visited The Villages I have found its singles community warm and welcoming. Surprisingly, I found the married folks just as welcoming when I met and chatted with them wherever I went. TV is a friendly pleasant place!
