Cool. I have a hummingbird feeder I need to clean out. Is it time? Any hints? I have a magnolia tree right outside my "nook" window. I'd love to put it there. It's shaded area though. Any chance?

I understand you should put a feeder in shade so the sun doesn't spoil the food. You have to change it frequently, even if they don't come, because it does spoil and can do more harm then good if they arrive late.

Have yet to see a hummer in TV. When I lived in New Mexico I had quite a flock that came all the time to my two feeders on my patios. We use to sit and watch them with such delight. Really do miss that.

Glad to know shade is good. But is it a problem in among the branches of a tree?

No, hanging the feeder from tree branch is not a problem. Hummingbirds are attracted to the color red so tie a few red ribbons next to the feeder. Good luck!
