Me too ............ her wonderful acerbic humor always made me laugh out loud! Many changes on this site, some good/some not so good!

Coincidentally, I've wondered the same exact thing. She might be over on TOPIX The Villages or perhaps just doing Facebook as are so many others. Why don't you contact her via a p.m.?

Never met her, but thought she was very witty.
 

Some people didn't "get" her. She would flop your ears down no matter who you were if she didn't agree with you and has a huge BS detector and a VERY direct way of communicating.


I think what some didn't get is her humor. I agree with Madeleine Amee, that her humor is sarcastic, ascerbic and extremely clever.


I wouldn't want to get on her " bad" side. lol

Gracie, thanks for picking up on my spelling error:laugh:. As for her bad side, I think Patty would just write off anyone she did not like, just as though they had never existed.

"Funny" she might have been in person, for sure, but it didn't necessarily translate into the printed word. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person; there may have been two with the same name, but the one I'm referring to was always in the attack mode for no good reason.


Oftentimes, some people's rude responses and comments taken out of context to original poster's intent, come across as nasty and abrasive and hurtful.......but to their own circle of friends , who truly know and love them for this brusqueness, they are genuine good friends for the long haul. We all count a few friends such as that......they may be abrasive on the surface, but have hearts of gold within. You all come across as dear friends of hers, which is great that she has someone concerned about her absence.


Why then has no one a clue to her whereabouts? Hopefully, she's not battling some illness alone at home? Has anyone tried to contact her.....in order to ask why she has disappeared??? She might truly need all of you right now. Hopefully, she's just on vacation and remains in good health.


Could she have been banned from T.O.T.V.???? I notice the absence of many of the older interesting, intelligent posters. It's just not the same anymore. But, life moves on. So too for people.....who move on to other interests.

I love her wit, whatever position she takes on an issue. I hope she is OK and just taking a break.

Good to know. Cannot say I often understood her humor but never saw anything all that mean in it.
