Cochlear implants
 

Has someone here had Cochlear implants done? Was it worth it to you? Did they really help?

I really need some input from folks who have had this done.

I haven't had it done but my bridge partner has. He and another lady there talk about their implants frequently. Both have commented about what a difference it has made in their lives (all good). So, I'd say it is definitely worth doing if your doctor recommends it.

I'll talk to my partner on Tuesday and see if I can get him to send you a PM or something (his wife used to be very active on this board so he does know about it).

You will never be able to have an MRI once you get them UNLESS there is a company out there working on MRI safe implants.
