Anyone from The Villages going to Antarctic on Marco Polo Cruise ?
 

I'm really not kidding > We are snowbirds from upstate NY and just moved in (on an air mattress ) Dec,07 will be going on a cruise to the Antarctic on the Marco Polo Jan 2, 2008. Has anyone out there taken this cruise and can offer us some advise or anyone who is even going on the same cruise (What are the odds - but worth trying ) ? We would love to talk to you.

Hi, have always wanted to go to Antarctic, but so far we haven't gone.

I would recommend getting the patch for sea sickness. From all of my research you can go through some very rough waters and the wrist band and over the counter meds do not seem to work as well. You do not have wear the patch all the time.

We are leaving on Jan. 10th for a South America Cruise. Leaving from Santiago and ending in Buenos Aires. Presently in the process of deciding what we will do in each port.

We are going with Oceania, and it is a 16 day cruise.

We are from upstate NY - land of snow and ice at the moment.

We will be down to TV this Tuesday. Will you still be in TV then? Like to hear your thoughts about what you will be doing in the ports you are visiting. Some of them will be the same.

Sent a private EMAIL to you. We will be doing Buenos Aires on our own for a few days before the cruise into Antarctica. To be honest we haven't really thought much about what we will be doing in Buenos Aires except trying to find some place perhaps to do some Argentina Tango and a few tourist things (??). We just bought our house in the Villages and "moved " in (very loose term ) Early Dec 07. We have been shopping every day looking for furniture and a golf cart! Near as we know our trip into Antarctica is pretty well all arranged by Marco Polo cruise with all side trips taken care of. Glad to get together with you talk.
