Trip to Bahamas advise
 

Hi everyone. We are thinking about taking a trip to the Bahamas....grand Bahamas specifically. Can anyone give us any tips on where to stay, what to see?? We went there years ago on a cruise and really enjoyed it. Now we want to venture on on our own. Thanks.

We've stayed at Sandals and absolutely loved it.

We've been to both Grand Bahamas and Nassau by boat (our own) and enjoyed Nassau much more than Freeport, although it's been some years back. Lots to see and do there.

Another vote for Nassau. They have a wonderful program there called "People to People" where you meet someone who lives on the island and will spend some time with you. You definitely get to see a lot more than if playing tourist on your own or even with a guide.
