How much personal information is on the mag strip on FL license?

We were discussing where what information is possibly located and the discussion turned to the FL drivers license (DL).

Does anyone know if there is anything other than what is on the face of the license on the magnetic strip on the back?

If one would lose their FL DL what do you the risk could be other than the obvious if any?

A lot of attention has been focused on credit card info and we were combing through other potential problems in our wallets?

According to this link, the same info that's on the front is on the magnetic strip.

What information does a magnetic strip on a driver's license contain in Florida? | Answerbag

I understand it basically has everything on the front of the card plus your Social Security number, and voter affiliation. It is, I understand, everything you had to put on your application when you got our Florida license.

Don't be giving it out to anyone.

You can also buy a USB magnetic strip reader for as little as $59.

Emergency contact information would be on there if you supplied that info on your application.

BTW: driver's licenses are going down $25 per year effective Sept 1, as soon as the governor signs the bill. If your license renews before that, don't waste your money paying for a two year license as there will be no rebates.

When a driver's license is renewed it is for 8 years, not one or two as you suggest.

I thought that the reduction in fees would be for vehicle registration, not driver's license renewal.

You are correct. I got confused. It is vehicle registration that is going down $25 per year, not driver's licenses.
