Darrell's Dog Gone Good Diner

The Villages Gourmet Club announced that Darrell's Diner, just up the road apiece, has opened. From the review, sounds pretty good.

Just had breakfast there this morning! Breakfast was very good and reasonable. Service was excellent and attentive. Restaurant was very clean. We'll be going back for sure! I had biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs, very good and biscuits were huge and midway between heavy and fluffy! Hubby had cheese scramble with toast and homestyle potatoes also very good. Coffee good also!

There's a commercial strip in front of Stonecrest that runs between their two entrance gates. It's in the northern end of that strip.

Hubby and I live in Stonecrest and decided to go for lunch. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings for 50 cents extra. It was so big I took half home. Really great food. They are very busy. Open 6am to 3pm. We will definitely go back!:mmmm:

Skip, is that a fur piece or a short piece?

About a half mile north of 441/27 Walmart. Cart accessible from TV thru Paradise Gate and Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Have they moved? When we went, the diner was located on the SOUTH end of the strip mall.

North end or south end-----I will find it. We like breakfast and lunch and Mom and Pop diners are some of our favorite places to try.

OP, thanks for your report.

If you want to get that technical it's at the south end of the group of buildings that it's in. What I was talking about was the ENTIRE strip of buildings that runs from Stonecrest's Main Gate up to the North Gate starting with Sun Trust bank and then running all the way up to the entrance to the Stonecrest North Gate. Making at the NORTH end of that strip.

It won't be accessible to you Villagers when we shut off that frontage road by Stonecrest to traffic just like you did to Stonecrest residents at the Paradise gate!!! What an unfriendly decision that was!!!

Come on Barebones, you know those roads are being deeded over to Marion County next week.

Same strip that Keller Williams, Humana and Allstate are located. 1 block North of SunTrust Bank on Hwy 441.
