Prime Rib Dinner

Does anyone know where to get a THICK CUT 1inch or more cut of prime rib in the villages or surrounding area? I just like thick cuts of meat, and ever where I go the cuts are 1/4 inch or less

Thank you
Don Peters

Just a thought...have you asked the places you have been if they will serve you a thicker cut? For an increased price of course.

Try Outback. Their 16oz is very good. I've tried other places here and there is no comparison

Google Alfie's. I t's in Marion county off 42. Sorry just can't remember the correct address. I believe on Monday is their prime rib special.

Alfies in Oklawaha, North on 25 has a prime rib for two $29 on Monday night. It is a sight to behold. About 3 miles past downtown Oklawaha on the right.

I got a pretty thick cut at Longhorn. I think it was close to an inch. Done exactly the way I like it.

Cody's offers a 24-ounce bone-in Prime Rib. Pretty good too! BUT...it is not served at all of their restaurants. They do serve it at their store in Ocala, but one of their servers told me that the menus do vary store to store and I don't know if they serve it at their location in TV. We never go to the one at Sumter because it's always too packed.

Alfie's on Monday night. 30 ounce bone-in about 2 1/2" thick. Very good.

Check with Stumpknockers-it may be served only on Friday and Saturday.

Most chain outlets (Longhorn/Outback and the like) cannot accomodate requests like that since most of their cuts are pre-done and must operate according to the chain's SOP manual. But..if you go to an independent restaurant, you're more likely to be able to ask for a custom cut. There's a great restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee that was once featured on the Travel Channel's "Man vs. Food" called Ye Olde Steakhouse who has an "extra ounces" board, where you are allowed to order cuts pretty much as large as you like. There's a base cut and then it's so much more per ounce to increase the size of your cut. Went there a few years ago for my B-Day. Had a WONDERFUL dinner and a HUGE prime rib!

TWeston's is a BBQ Smokehouse in Wildwood and they have very good prime rib. If you like great smoked prime rib you should enjoy the prime rib served at TWeston's.:BigApplause:
