Citrus Cardiology saw my husband through a 5 way bypass. They are in the medical bldgs to the side of Toojays in LSL. I was so pleased with them.

Recommended by 2 nurses and has been our cardiologist for 6 years. Downside he sees Pts here but echos etc are in Leesburg.

Dr. Garcia at Florida Heart and Vascular is very good. He implanted my husband's pacemaker and we have been very happy with him.

Anyone know anything about Dr. Torres? He is here once a week , based in Leesburg.

We like Florida Heart and Vascular also. They have beautiful offices near the hospital. My doctor is Dr Hurt. They are affiliated with The University of FL.

I see Dr. Cacodcar here in The Villages. He's very good and takes his time with you. I never feel rushed. He seems genuinely concerned about your overall health.

Does anyone have any experience/preferences/advice with any of the following cardiologists in the area?

* George Matthews
* John McGee
* Hector Garcia
* John Hurt (he is supposedly with Florida Heart and Vascular per previous post, but I didn't see his name listed on the Florida Heart and Vascular web site. Is he still there or is he new there?
*Steven Nerad
* Cardio Vascular Clinic in Leesburg (705 Doctor's Court)

These are the ones in the United Health Care network. There may be others, but these are the one's listed so far.

Mr 07 goes to Garcia...he was highly recommended by TV Cardio Support group. Impressions so far are favorable....seems knowledgeable and personable. Mr 07 used to go to his former cardiologist quarterly but Garcia checked him out and said see you in a year....that was a little disconcerting. Like many specialists, it's not always easy to get a routine appt any time soon. The good ones book up fast.
