Kudos to Group Crimes against Seniors
 

I just wanted to give a shout out to the excellent work that crimes against seniors has done for us. Long story short .... We were owed a few hundred dollars from a company in the Villages that had made a serious mistake in the plumbing of our home. We tried over several weeks to recover the money but were continuosly stalled by them. Calls not returned, boss is out of town etc.

....After much frustration we decided to get Crimes against Seniors involved.
Within one hour, we had a return call from the company and a check for the full amount in the mail the next day. Businesses do not want to get a bad rep with CAS.

Much thanks to Sharon at the office and all those involved in helping to rectify problems for Seniors. They strongly urge people to check out companies with them before going ahead with any business dealings.

I agree, they are a wonderful, professional, and dedicated group of volunteers. Not knowing where to turn for advice on a compensation issue, I visited there office and had the pleasure of working with Sharon and John who did everything they could to help within their realm of authority. The letters sent by SvsC were ignored to I have had to move on to the next step. Sadly, I am quickly learning that FL is not a consumer protection friendly state....ask any lawyer who practices in this area.:shrug:

I didn't know about this group, I love this!
