Fruitland Park Expansion
 

There is a legal post in the Sun that sets the legal boundaries for the new CDD for the Fruitland Park expansion. With it is a map that I found interesting. It shows a continuation of Pinellas and Hillborough into the new area. The Pinellas one got my attention because that would seem to cut through by the fire station and driving range as well as the new executive courses there. A road through the courses is not unusual, but it will interesting to see how they work a road by the Sarasota building and the cart parking area south of it that is largely unused now, but will be used for the executive courses. There doesn't appear to be a lot of room.

At least we can see how carts can get from the Fruitland Park Villages homes into the rest of TV.

DO believe if anything,, Moyer loop will connect to Fruitland Park,, that is the other side of Hillsborough off of Morse.

That's what the map shows, and the loop continues around to connect with the eastern end of Pinellas at the fire station and driving range.

466A access
 

I looked real fast but did not see an access to 466A. Is there one ?

Don't remember seeing one either - and I don't believe there will be - could keep the area a little more secure with no access from 466A. We shall see.

Yes, there is. It will be about 1/2 mile east of Micro Racetrack Road, and will line up with the Timbertop Lane.

That IS odd. I would swear that I saw a plat which showed the north end of Moyer Loop connecting with Farner Place behind The Villages Health Colony Care Center. Of course I can't find it now. And of course, plans change over time.

There will be a parking lot in place of the putting green on the side of Sarasota so people who drive there by car will not have to cross the street. There will also be a new practice area built to replace the one on the other side of the pond when the new exec is built.

Changes At Sarasota Starting May 1
 

The folks at the Sarasota shop have advised that the putting green, trap practice area and chipping area will be closed beginning on May 1. Construction will start there, including a road and a new golf course. The existing putting green will become a green on the new course.

Eventually, the practice green immediately adjacent to the Sarasota building will be expanded to include practice sand traps. They are working on where to provide a replacement practice green while all this construction is done. Some think it may be at Bonifay CC.
