Nice ride over there for you to check it out and tell us. |
We have heard about sinkholes in The Villages. I wonder about Branford?

I had to take a detour to pick up our grandson this morning. The sink hole in Palmyra, PA seems to have opened up again. Just can't seem to get away from them.

And it's good fodder for making the "Leisureville" type book of rumors and accusations more juicy to those who don't have the nerve to move.....anywhere. |

I'm not sure the term "sinkholes everywhere" fairly describes The Villages. There are other areas of Florida which are more prone to sink holes. Some of the sink hole reports you see on this website are questions or speculation. I agree that it's worrisome when Mother Nature trots out earthquakes, hurricanes, gators, black bears, lightning, tornadoes, sink holes, etc. |
This is off subject, but what does OP stand for? Thanks.

I always assumed Original Poster. Hopefully someone will let me know if this is incorrect.

its amazing to me that the so called sink hole photo didn't even make a dent in the rock bedding that was above it. strange and weird.....whats holding up the rocks and the edging? ......magic?
