Comments or Recommendations for Prisim or Direct TV?
Thinking about switching from Direct-TV to Prisim-TV due to I hear fiber optic is better than Direct TV. Also, the summer lighting storms disrupt programs with Direct TV which I hear Prism TV is not affected by storms. Is this true for those that use Prisim? I would appreciated any comments.

Just changed from Dish to Prism. Cut my bill $40 per month, increased internet speed, now have unlimited long distance on my home phone and more channels to view. You get Showtime, Starz and Encore free on the Preferred Programming. No disruption from thunderstorms. I committed to a two year plan with no price increase.

We just switched from Direct TV to Century Link. We had Verizon internet service and couldn't stream movies. With Century Link, we subscribed to Netflix and we already had Amazon Prime, so we only took the free movie channels they offered. We got free home phone, unlimited internet and cable for about $150 a month. Quite a savings from before.

I have Centurylink for internet and phone. Recently tried the one month trial of Prism and knew after two days that it wasn't as good as Directv. Called to have them remove everything and they told me that it was up to me to return all the equipment. (Wasn't informed of this when the salesman told me how easy it was to try it for 30 days free) I returned the inside equipment but he outside box is still on the front of my house and will probably remain there. You have to pay in advance for the one free month of service and if you decide not to keep it, they'll refund your money. After almost three months, I'm still waiting! When I call, it's always a different story depending on who you speak with. If you decide to go with it, just be aware of the obligations you sign for. I should have recorded the phone conversations I had with them when I first signed up.
Beware of Centurylink! Problem is, there's no other internet service available in my area, with the exception of Comcast. Nuff said! |
