Property management
Has anyone used REMAX real estate company to manage their property? I am looking for a new one, with out bashing the current one. Any suggestions would help. I live out of state and need piece of mind. i have a brand new patio villa across from Brownwood unfurnished, looking for long term 12 mo rental. Who would be the best to handle it? Thanks in advance for all ideas. Also if anyone knows someone who is looking for one. Has view on corner, extra large master with large walk closet. new washer /dryer, high ceilings eat in kitchen COLONY model. Thanks.

We found Corky Enk with Remax to be very helpful, professional, and not the least bit pushy. You can click his link on their site and tell him about your property. He will give you a projection of what he feels is a fair rental price. If you aren't comfortable renting from another state, they will take care of the taxes, fixing a clogged toilet, and getting the property rented.
We went a different route, but he handled our decision with professionalism. |
I used Diane Musik to manage my rental property for years. Then when I decided to retire and move down she helped me do some renovations to my home before moving in so it was easier for me- long distance. She consistently went the extra mile to do everything to make my life easier so all I had to do each month was sit back and collect the check. She kept my property rented the entire time I owned it and took care of anything and everything immediately. I wish she could stay on as my personal assistant for life!!! I have never found anyone in any field to be better and more energetic or professional or helpful. I'm not related to her, lol, just one of her biggest fans. I can't say enough good about her. dimusick@aol.com or call 407-973-3899

In March when we began renting the property, we did the Home Watch and have no regrets. If the poster is comfortable screening, collecting rents, booking, and paying the bed taxes, a Home Watch is a great idea. If the poster is looking for total peace of mind and wants someone else to manage the property allowing the owner to have little responsibility, a licensed realtor is the best route.
We would never manage a property ourselves in the Outer Banks. In The Villages, the Home Watch is the route we felt was best for us. |
