New To Golf

Has anyone here ever taken the Villages New to Golf class's? My wife has never played and I haven't played in years and we're wondering if it's worth the money or should we try somewhere outside the Villages for lessons?

Re: New To Golf

I just finished New to Golf II. It is not the beginner BUT I know this was great so the New To Golf should be as good. I had been trying to hit a ball in the air for 5 years with no luck even after other lessons. Now I can hit it in the air. Not great distance but better then ever. I have hit 130 yards but that is once. Usually 60 or 70. I have been chipping and pitching pretty well since the lessons. Putting I still need work. I am sure it will be well worth the time and money. We had John Lubin as our instructor. Go for it--Best lessons I have ever had.

The best beginner golf lessons are at Water Oaks. Every Mon at 12:00 Bud conducts a free clinic on one aspect of the game. He provides private lessons for $10.00/30 minutes and donates the money to his church youth camp. Excellent, simple basic stuff and is a real confidence builder.

excellent fiddlemire...will do that I think. I need one on one and I like that he donates his fee to charity. Thanks frannieb

One of the Doggie Doo Run Run regulars joked that he wished his bowling score was his golf score and vice versa. :joke:

I loved the man at Water Oaks ( My first lessons)BUT I learned 100% more at New to Golf School. It cost $225 for 5 days--7 1/2 hours. A video is done to show how you hit. Well worth the money.

My husband and I are taking the course in February. We took a private lesson yesterday with Maria and now I can hit the ball. Where is Water Oaks? We are new to TV (this is our second week) I would love to meet this man and work with him between now and our class. Any help will be wonderful.
