Cost to Rent?

I'm thinking very seriously about renting next winter....maybe, November - February.

What can I expect to pay for a nice place. Ideally, I'd have one bedroom and a den.

Also, any suggestions regarding to best way to find a place to rent? When should I start looking?

Thx.

Ron

For Nov and Dec 1200-1800 monthly and Jan -Mar 2400-3200 monthly.
You might want to check this site out for rentals.

I agree with Renee. www.thevillages4rent.com has over 300 homes managed by the by owners and a good search engine, too. Just put in your months you want and It'll bring up the homes that are available (if the owners keep them up to date).

Are Renee's rent estimates about right?

Also, when should I be looking for a rental for Nov - Feb...assuming I want to get a nice place, but also a good deal?

Thanks.

Ron

Actually, in Nov and Dec we are charging more -- $1900. The weather is nice and this past year I got lots of inquiries. I figure if we don't rent it, it will be a good excuse for us to come down. I've already started getting emails for the 2008-2009 season. I'd say if you want a choice it would be good to start now. and if you want more than a month, I bet most people would be willing to make a deal.

Try www.****.com click on the state of Florida, then Central Florida Orlando You will then find The Villages where you will find lots of rentals. **** stands for "Vacation Rentals by Owner. Hope this helps. Prices quoted earlier are about right.

Re: Cost to Rent?

I am currently renting a patio villa (Jan - Feb) for $2650/MO. This price includes a golf cart which is really a good cart. I would be looking right now for this time period next year. We have secured a courtyard villa for Jan-Feb 2008 @ $2900/MO.
Our current villa is near Nancy Lopez and I feel it's too far from the action at both squares. Our rental for next year is just across 466 in Clifton Villas. That area gives you easy access to the new WalMart, gas stations, Publix, Crispers, Giovanni's, and other amenities.
Look now and be sure to ask for as many pics of the unit as possible. Good luck.
Irish
