Ollie Burgers

My brother and I both worked at Lum's during our college years, and they had the one-and-only Ollie Burger there.

Here is a site that sells the Ollie Burger spices, and includes recipes for making Ollie Burgers. (Don't know if this was a regional thing in western NY).

Will check it out. Thank you. I have a fond memory of Lum's. We were sitting in there about closing time and there were 2 doors. They locked the back door getting ready to lock the front door when in run two streakers through the front door! They ran past two cops sitting there eating. Tried to go out the back door and it was locked!! The cops got them and threw a couple of towels around them and arrested them. This was in the 70's. So funny.

Quirky3, is an Ollie burger the same thing as a Lumburger (maybe it was Lumsburger), with cheese. I remember the burgers being loose, like a slopey joe, and they were delicious!!

They were big, and a little "sloppy" because there was a special sauce on the bun. Really yummy! I am going to experiment with the spices this weekend!!

Don't forget their hot dogs steamed in beer.
