Oil in 2002 Yamaha
 

Recently purchased 2002 Yamaha cart. Was told by seller to use straight 40 wt. oil. Cart specs say 10/30 only. Runs well and lots of miles on it. Which oil would you recommend and how much oil. Is a two seater and no discernible numbers I can read to let me know engine size.

First let me answer your question, 30 Wt. non detergent oil and it holds just over 1 quart after adding a quart check again for the balance.
I do not recommend synthetic oil in a cart running around The Villages for 12 years.
If you are here for the summer season and run it hard you may consider 40 wt as an.alternate.
