Horseback Riding for Grandkids
 

My grandkids want to go horseback riding when they are here for Camp Villages the week of June 16. They've all been on horseback before. Suggestions?

The Girl Scout camp on CR 462 has horses for riding.

Do your grandkids have to be staying with you to attend the camp or can they live locally and attend? Does it matter? What is the last sign up date for a week in July?

I'm not sure if they have to be staying with you. I'd guess not. My grandkids live out of state. You can buy tickets now at the Villages Box Office. The popular events sell out quickly, so I'd suggest you buy them right away.

Ginnybugs, the Happy Horse Rescue Farm in Weirsdale has trail riding for grown ups and children. They have a lovely trail that goes to Lake Weir from the farm. I think they have other trails as well, but that's the one I rode on.
