Ken's Antenna's Service

Has any one used him to hook up an outside antenna for reception? If yes what was your opinion of the the hook and do you get NBC, ABC, Fox, etc?
Thank you.

Tom at The VillagesAV installed an antenna in our attic and we can see about 50 channels from Orlando. He also did a wall mount of one of our sets. Very clean installation.

Thanks for the kind words Tuccillo. We've done 60 or 70 antennas in The Villages this past year with great results. We're probably not the cheapest in town but we use high end products and get high end results. We also 100% guarantee results. If we mount an attic antenna and we don't get the results you're looking for, we take it back down and you pay nothing.

Give me a call, I'd love the opportunity to earn your business.

Here's a photo of a low voltage panel with a 4 port powered distribution amplifier.

We are in Lake Deaton - just east of Brownwood.

I recommend that you call Tom at 352-388-1677. I found his prices to be very reasonable and he does a very clean installation. 110% satisfied.

Had no luck with Ken's antenna. He says I have too many trees interfering, so beware. I get about 7 channels, but not consistently. Can't count on getting a specific broadcast channel at any given time. Also, he does not guarantee. Go with the other guy who does guarantee his work. I just learned an expensive lesson. Wish I had known about Tom before I called Ken.

Tom,
We do not have wooden trusses in our attic. Do you think an attic antenna would work with steel trusses?

mulligan 08-29-2014 06:09 AM

I'll be interested in this reply also. It will also be interesting to see if he mentions mounting the antenna outside.

Villager Audio Video 08-29-2014 07:35 AM

I've never installed an antenna in a steel truss environment in The Villages so I can't answer your question with any 1st hand experience. Broadcast TV reception is tricky with way to many variables to discuss. The big problem in The Villages is distance, the transmitter cluster we're trying to hit is 60+ miles away @ around 119 degrees (Southeast Orlando) It could work great for you and your neighbor could get nothing. You need to use a very large antenna and place it as high as possible for best results.

Placing the antenna outside would be ideal. Attic installations cost you as much as 30-40% of your signal strength. With that said, I will not mount them outside. These things are very large and they are not attractive. I live in The Villages and I don't want to see them.

I'm going to do an antenna install this morning. I'll take so photos and post them this evening to give you a better idea of what all is involved.
