Spa - Electric - Cost to Operate
We looked at a house in TV this week that had an electric spa. Does anyone have an electric spa in TV and, if so, what does it cost to operate?

Re: Spa - Electric - Cost to Operate
JohnM,
I have a small portable electra spa (seats 4) and when I bought it, the literature said it costs $1/day to heat it to 100+ degrees (whatever the standard heat it, doesn't really say but I think it's just over 100 and feels great). That might be a good estimate. Don't forget chemicals. Not significant $ there, but a few bucks a month on that too. JohnN |
Re: Spa - Electric - Cost to Operate
I have a little bit larger spa and it costs about $40 per month to heat. Of course in the winter up here in MA it costs a little bit more than that (probably $60) but heck it's cold up here!

Re: Spa - Electric - Cost to Operate
I have a large spa, Tiger River that seats 6, and I estimate about $30 a month. I'm also up north. I keep it set around 90 and turn it up to 104 about an hour or so before I want to use it. As mentioned, chemicals need to be added but that cost is minimal.

Thanks to all who responded...it gives me a rough idea of operating cost.
