Moles
 

Has anyone had any luck getting rid of moles? I have calledOrkin but they really don't seem interested and Bates is way out there on price. thanks.

Break up some glass and pour it in the holes. The mole will rub against it. Moles are easy bleeders and will go into their tunnel and bleed to death. Sounds kind of cruel, but any way you get rid of them will kill them.

Have heard of people putting used cat litter around and in hole also chewing gum it binds them and they die.

In the past, we have broken up juicy fruit gum and put it in the hole. We caught the mole problem early and was solved in this manner. I'm not sure they make juicy fruit gum any more!

Up where I came from, I had mole problems from time to time. I went to HD and bought a product called mole pellets. If you read the directions it will explain how to use the product. Basically you cut a little trap doors in the top of the main tunnels and drop a spoonful in and close the trap door. The mole hopefully will travel thru and find and eat the bate. He becomes fertilizer for your grass.

1/4 cup castor oil
6 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons liquid detergent (We use Dawn)
Combine all ingredients in blender until consistency of whipped cream.

To Use: Add 2 Tablespoons of repellent to a regular garden watering can and then fill with warm water. Thoroughly water over areas of greatest damage.

For best results apply after a rain or a thorough watering.

Tried and true: Poke a few holes along the tunnels, drop in one or 2 moth balls and pour in a little ammonia and then a little bleach. Then cover up the hole. The fumes either "gets" them or at least drives them into someone else's yard.

I am going to give this one a try. Sorry neighbors....

Your lawn has something in it that moles like to eat.In Annville,Pa it usually is grubs.Not sure what it would be in TV.Control the food source and you will control the moles.
Do you treat your lawn for insects?
Do your neighbors have a mole problem?If not and they treat the lawn for insects,follow their lead.
