Loved the books sounds like a movie to skip. Same with many attempts to adapt Stephen King novels to the big screen.

I really like some of the Stephen King adaptations. The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, Carrie, The Shining, Cujo, Silver Bullet, The Running Man, Misery and Christine as well as some of the others. http://stephenking.com/library/written.html
