Fumar, I think that's an anole you have there. To determine the difference, stick your hand as far as possible down his throat. If he has a tonsil-like thingy hanging from the top of his mouth, kiss your arm goodbye.

FYI, we have instituted a class action lawsuit against both geckos and anoles. Not sure what we're seeking in the way of compensations, but we'll demand at least $60K apiece for the "representative" who instigate the suit.

I'm sorry, I just got up; still drinking my coffee so I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly. Perhaps you are being humorous and I'm still not totally awake. I admit that my sense of humor may not be at full speed.

What's this animosity toward Geckos? :dontknow: They eat bugs you'd rather not have around your home.

Or is it that they just plain creep you out? ???

Perhaps we could build a giant wall around the state of FLA. Then we organize a petition to have the current 'illegal' Geckos and Anoles deported back over the wall. Of course we will have to inspect every pickup truck and panel van that comes across the state border for the little fellas.

Wait... That has been tried elsewhere with no success - NEVERMIND!

Plus, they do the work that other lizards don't want to do.

If I'm not mistaken there are no geckos here. We have anoles. There are seventeen species of lizards found east of the Rockies of which sixteen are in Florida. A gecko is one of the seventeen species and live in southeast Florida and the Keys.

Whatever they are, I think they're adorable and harmless. They provide constant amusement for my dogs. I hear they even eat bugs. I'd love to take some back to Canada with me, but they probably wouldn't do well in the snow. ;D

Whichever the specie, they are excellent when sauteed lightly with shallot and garlic in cognac and served with a soupcon of french mustard. 040

I think they're cute too! Im sure they do more good then harm. Lets not be too hard on the little guys.
